Starting as an esports talent agency in 2017, Gold Standard Gaming has become a full-service marketing company that caters to brands, influencers and corporations worldwide. The founder, Sebastian “Chosen1” Burton is a former professional gamer and spent many years as a consultant to some of the largest brands in the esports space. This passion for gaming and its ecosystem is the catalyst where the company name was developed from.
In 2017 GSG became a small agency managing both talent and production for it’s first client IMG LIVE, supporting its partnership with Turner Broadcasting Studios on a production called ELEAGUE. At the time Eleague became one of the most-watched esports shows of all time (2018) and was one of the channels (TBS) Highest viewed shows of the season.
By 2019 GSG was fortunate to have partnered with companies across the globe on various different activations and partnerships. Companies like EA Sports, Iheartmedia, SuperCell and many more AAA studios, publishers, and developers in the esports arena. However, nothing could prepare the company (Or any of us) for the Covid-19 pandemic that shut down economies worldwide. With resilience, the company made a pivot
from exclusively executing and managing experiential marketing events to creating robust digital advertising and marketing campaigns for not only gaming companies but businesses that had no choice but to relocate their marketing to digital platforms.
