In a small office tucked away in East Nashville’s Five Points neighborhood, Snapshot’s modest beginnings started as a video production company. At the time, Nashville had plenty of production houses producing great video, and a handful of large agencies infusing strategy into high-budget campaigns. But our founders saw a gap in the market: a firm that sat right between the two.
A video production agency that told stories with strategy in mind — all driven by a frictionless client experience.
It seemed to stick. Snapshot quickly became a trusted partner for startups and corporate staples alike. Clients such as Bank Director, HealthStream, HCA, and TN Score helped secure Snapshot’s place as a leading video firm in Nashville.

But demand didn’t stop at video. Clients wanted help with websites, animated content, content strategies, and design work. We weren’t reinventing how content was made but how it was strategically implemented. And we built a process that felt fun, not like a chore.
By 2019, Snapshot had grown to a team of 50 content creators bringing client visions to life. Nashville was pouring into us, and we were pouring back into it.
From the beginning, our story has been about more than content. It’s been about people; clients, partners, and the communities we serve. During our growth years, we’ve had the privilege of supporting some of Nashville’s most important community endeavors.
When Amazon put out a nationwide RFP for cities to pitch for their new HQ, the economic development teams at the Nashville Chamber, Mayor’s Office, and State of Tennessee tapped Snapshot to support the response. Over the course of just a few months, we partnered with another small but mighty agency and together built a compelling story to share “Why Nashville.” Staying true to the city’s roots, we showcased our creativity, our impressive talent pool, and the innovation emerging from every corner of our community. The stats gave Nashville credibility, but the story created connection. Out of dozens of applications submitted to Amazon, Nashville’s stood out. The city was chosen to host Amazon’s new Operations Hub, bringing thousands of jobs and helping shape the future of our business community.

Another important chapter came when Nashville pursued a Major League Soccer expansion team. Partnering with the MLS2 Nashville committee, Snapshot was selected to lead the marketing for the campaign. From building the group’s brand identity to producing thousands of creative assets, we were able to play a small but key role in helping the city secure its first MLS team.
At Snapshot, we believe marketing should be both powerful and human. The Amazon HQ win, the MLS expansion, and countless other projects have shown us that when strategy and storytelling come together, cities, organizations, and people can accomplish big things
We have continued to innovate and evolve; Snapshot looks a lot different than we did in that small one-room office in the Five Points area of East Nashville. In our beautiful new home on Riverside Drive, a former church that we’ve renovated, the company has grown into a strategic agency focused not just on content creation, but on the full spectrum of marketing needs all driven by helping clients bring clarity to complexity.

We continue to breathe life into some of Nashville’s most established companies, while also supporting the next wave of businesses shaping our communities. Snapshot has had the opportunity to play major roles in bringing Tractor Supply’s products to life, supporting the awareness of addiction with our friends at Cumberland Heights, and launching Bank of Tennessee’s brand into the market.
Outside of client work, we’ve built Creative Assembly – a bi-monthly quarterly, citywide gathering of Nashville’s creative community. Its purpose is to unite agencies, creatives, and business leaders in one arena, a giveback to the city that has fueled our growth. By creating a space for those who otherwise wouldn’t connect, we strengthen our community and remind ourselves that we’re always stronger together than apart.
As our city, technology, and lives change, Snapshot looks forward to embracing the opportunities that come along with it. One of our core values is simple: “We dream up and give life to kick ass work.” It’s a value that we believe resonates not only within our team, but across the community we’re proud to serve.
