HOW NEXT AGENTS IS SHAPING THE FUTURE
Stockholm is globally recognized as a hub for innovation, particularly in sustainability, and Next Agents plays a pivotal role in advancing this ecosystem. Sustainability-driven innovation lies at the heart of Next Agents’ mission to empower businesses to create solutions that benefit people, the planet, and profitability. Central to this approach is the Next Agents Toolbox, which provides businesses with structured methodologies for developing and evaluating sustainability-driven ideas. Some of the components in the toolbox are:
- The Sustainability-Driven Innovation Matrix: This matrix helps organizations assess their current sustainability efforts and identify growth opportunities. Using tools such as maturity levels, guiding questions, and a matrix canvas, businesses can strategically align their innovation initiatives with sustainability goals.
- Idea Selection Factors: This framework evaluates innovation ideas based on sustainability criteria, ensuring projects prioritize environmental impact, social value, and long-term viability.
Complementing the toolbox is the Sustainability-Driven Innovation Training Program, which deepens participants’ understanding of how to apply these tools and frameworks effectively. The training covers essential topics such as managing innovation with ISO 56001, adapting to regulatory changes, and leveraging digitalization and AI for sustainable growth. Delivered in an interactive and flexible format, the program equips professionals to lead sustainability-focused transformation within their organizations.
By combining the robust capabilities of its toolbox with the training program’s in-depth learning opportunities, Next Agents ensures businesses are equipped to innovate responsibly and seize opportunities in the transition to a sustainable economy.

COLLABORATING WITH BOARDS TO DRIVE CHANGE
Driving meaningful innovation often starts at the top, and Next Agents is actively partnering with the Boards Impact Forum (BIF) to ensure sustainability is embedded at the highest levels of corporate governance. BIF serves as the Nordic chapter of the Climate Governance Initiative (CGI) of the World Economic Forum, focusing on climate governance, sustainability, and AI across Nordic countries, including Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland.
As the only Nordic network dedicated to board directors with a focus on sustainability and AI, BIF reaches over 10,000 board members through its partnerships in the Nordic Boards Network. This extensive reach is bolstered by innovative training programs developed in collaboration with Next Agents. The first board training program is Boards Oversight of Sustainability for Value Creation, recognized as a CGI Approved Course, placing it among a select few globally accredited programs. This training provides board directors with the tools to embed climate governance into their decision-making processes and equips them with the strategic foresight necessary to navigate the transition to a sustainable economy.
The second program, Board Oversight of Responsible AI for Value Creation, is grounded in cutting-edge research, including insights from the book AI Leadership for Boards. This course delves into the implications of AI for governance, emphasizing responsible practices and how boards can use AI to drive long-term value creation.
By focusing on climate governance and the responsible use of AI, these programs address some of the most pressing challenges faced by modern boards. Next Agents’ collaboration with BIF highlights the critical role that leadership plays in fostering sustainable innovation and ensuring accountability at the organizational level.

ACCELERATING INNOVATION WITH RAPID LEARNING CYCLES
In addition to its focus on governance and training, Next Agents is at the forefront of adopting agile methodologies like Rapid Learning Cycles (RLC). RLC is a proven agile framework that accelerates innovation by breaking down complex challenges into iterative cycles of learning and decision-making.
This approach has been instrumental in projects aimed at developing clean tech solutions and sustainable products. By reducing time-to-market and minimizing risks, RLC enables organizations to focus on delivering impactful results while staying agile in a rapidly changing landscape. As a method, it perfectly complements the sustainability-driven mindset, ensuring innovation aligns with the principles of a circular economy. Next Agents is the affiliate organization for Rapid Learning Cycles in the Nordics.

CONTRIBUTING TO STOCKHOLM’S INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM
Next Agents is deeply embedded in the networks driving change across Stockholm and beyond. By participating in initiatives like Cradlenet, the Nordic Circular Hotspot, and the Swedish Climate Startup Map, the organization collaborates with stakeholders across industries to advance the transition to a circular and sustainable economy.
As Stockholm continues to lead in sustainability and innovation, Next Agents stands at the forefront of this journey. With its pioneering training programs, strategic partnerships, and methodologies like Rapid Learning Cycles, the organization is helping shape a future that prioritizes people, planet, and profit.
Next Agents isn’t just part of Stockholm’s innovation ecosystem—it’s helping define it, setting the standard for what’s possible in a world driven by sustainable transformation.
