BMM Testlabs, founded in 1981, is renowned for ensuring fairness and integrity in gaming. With its presence in 16 countries, BMM has built a reputation as the longest-established and most experienced independent test lab, known for rigorous testing and certification processes for land-based gaming, lottery, and iGaming. The Company’s Moncton quality assurance (QA) and test automation Center of Excellence, opened in 2011, represents a strategic investment in the future of land-based and digital gaming testing and compliance certification to serve the globe.
BMM’s President and Chief Executive Officer Martin Storm said,
“When we opened our Moncton lab, our goal was to capitalize on QA and automation’s transformation of the software development cycle, which was driving significant gains in productivity and a reduction in time to market. We provided an array of services that resulted in better predictability of quality and improved consistency of products for our customers.”
Storm said the decision to open the center in Moncton was driven by other factors too, including the city’s burgeoning tech ecosystem, its strategic location, a highly educated workforce, and New Brunswick’s strong background in gaming and lottery.
Since it opened, BMM Moncton has grown 7,400 percent from an initial staff of two with the expectation of continuing to grow the business organically.
Today, the Moncton Center of Excellence serves BMM’s customers around the world and specializes in helping customers launch innovation into casinos and digital gaming ecosystems faster and more securely. Its focus is on transforming the gambling industry’s performance and strengthening the industry to protect all who gamble.
“We not only specialize in QA testing, but we do pre-compliance QA, which we call First Pass™. These services can replace or augment our customers’ internal QA functions, improving quality by 95 percent and even reducing headcount costs,” says Jean Corriveau, Senior Vice President of Global QA and BMM Canada Regional Executive based in New Brunswick.

BMM has partnered with the University of New Brunswick for its initial automation projects and New Brunswick Community College to develop a curriculum specific to software testing and QA, providing a pool of talent who bring innovative ideas and fresh perspectives.
