Logistics is the process of planning, implementing and controlling the movement of goods and materials from the point of origin to the point of consumption.
In Flanders, Belgium, logistics is an important part of the economy as the region is home to many ports and airports that serve as major transport hubs for Europe. The Flemish government has made efforts to improve and modernize the region’s logistics infrastructure, with a focus on sustainability, efficiency and innovation. This includes investments in intermodal transport, digitalization and the development of new logistics centres.
As a result, Flanders is well-positioned to play a key role in the global supply chain, serving as a hub for the distribution of goods and materials throughout Europe.
