, WHO WE ARE Eckerd Kids is a national nonprofit organization headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, that has given a much-needed second chance to nearly 200,000 children and families since its founding by Jack and Ruth Eckerd in 1968. Eckerd Kids served more than 34,000 children and their families last year through life-changing child welfare, juvenile justice and workforce development programs in 20 states and the District of Columbia. Eckerd Kids’ mission is to provide and share solutions that promote the well-being of children and families in need of a second chance. SECOND CHANCES TO NEARLY 200,000 C H I L D R E N AND FAMILIES INNOVATIONS IN ACTION In 2012, Eckerd Kids developed Eckerd Rapid Safety Feedback® (ERSF) to battle an alarming increase of child abuse deaths in Hillsborough County, Florida. ERSF is a unique data analytics and coaching solution that identifies the highest risk cases and provides targeted support to the responsible staff. The success of ERSF in Florida has resulted in this nationally recognized program being deployed in nine states. Now, the innovative combination of coaching and predictive analytics used in ERSF is being applied to other pressing national challenges across the country.
