The Clearwater Public Library System Features Innovative Maker Studios

THE CLEARWATER PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM
FEATURES INNOVATIVE MAKER STUDIOS

What are Maker Studios?

The Clearwater Public Library System’s Maker Studios consist of hands-on learning and experimentation spaces, where community members can research, learn, design, prototype, and create works using library equipment, software, databases and other shared resources.

The studios are free and open to the public; no library card is required.

The Studio@Countryside

The first Maker Studio located at a Clearwater Public Library branch location, the Studio@Countryside, 2642 Sabal Spring Dr, can be reserved for public use and offers access to computers with digital arts, video and audio post-production, and office productivity software.

The collection of four Studios located on separate floors of the Main Library in downtown Clearwater, 100 N Osceola Avenue, offers classes, drop-in sessions, and one-on-one training for all ages and interests. The Studios@Main offer many options to explore and develop interests in arts, science and technology, entrepreneurship and small business, and local history.

At the Studios@Main, patrons are encouraged to experiment and explore new skills.

The Studios@Main include:
•The Creation Studio for Arts & Design (1st floor)
•The Discovery Studio of Creative Learning (2nd floor)
•The Innovation Studio of Technology & Business (including the Multimedia Studio) (3rd floor)
•The Heritage Studio of Community Memory (4th floor)
